Just wanted to hear a few of the RP's you guys are doing/thinking of (and get a few tips, I have the ideas, i just can't get into the 'role' ). F:NV imo has a lot more potential than FO3 for RPing because of the new gameplay mechanics.

My current guy is Jason Mulak, this is the shortened version I have quite an extensive back story for him that I wrote on word pad.

He was a tribal that grew up and joined the EBoS he kicked he discharged when he realised he wasn't going anywhere in the BoS due to an 'incident'. He decided to head West while in Arizona he heard about New Vegas and along the way he was attacked by a group of NCR deserters and that's how he acquired his unique service rifle. He became a hunter/gatherer and settled down in Goodsprings. But he's heard the call of Vegas and has left his humble shack to strike it rich.

Mine's Joe Keep.
Son of a machinesmith in an unnamed settlement, he simply left when he came of age to not be a burden to his family and find himself a place to stay.
In his 2 years of wandering, he simply saw too much and has now become quite embittered with how the world has gone to hell.
So he still wanders, unsure on what to do, but determined to make world a better place for the common man.... one way or the other.
He relies heavily on long-range marksmanship, dirty tricks and techie stuff: he hardly trusts everyone but ED-E, whom he calls "Bally".

Moving on, I'm not much for rping (just can't follow through with it) but I've written back stories for some characters I've made in the past but I end up not following through with how they were created. Props to those that do an stick at it though.

I'm playing as an Indiana Jones type of character....except I steal things like water and food but only to survive and carry on helping people. my main problem is that I have started making excuses to steal things...Do I really need over 100 Dinky Dinosaurs to survive?.


I usually wear Indiana Jones's hat (fresh from the fridge need to repair it though) and NCR armour or any disguise to avoid conflict, I have no problem with any of the major factions yet apart from the Gangers and Caeser's Legion but I want everyone to tolerate me and be peaceful.

Kiva and Kain are coming over from the wasteland.

Kain, after getting into an argument with Wadsworth again, decided that he was bored. Same old same old. He was swimming in caps, and living the good life.
So he hosted the biggest part the wasteland had ever seen, and blew all his caps on it. Then, he used his only remaining caps to gather enough supplies to travel to the Mojave wastes.

Kiva on the other hand, got a lift with a regiment of Brotherhood of Steel soldiers, who were heading over to the Mojave wasteland to check on some...disturbing reports they'd been having about some people known as 'Caesar's Legion'. With a heavy heart she left Dogmeat in the care of paladin Cross, and joined the soldiers. The wasteland didn't need her anymore.

I haven't got the game yet, however, so apologies on some canon discontinuity if there is any.
