Normally I don't reply to these topics as they often seem like a veiled attempt at recommend me mods type threads.

But I will venture a few nonetheless.

1. Realistic Fatigue.
2. Duke Patrick Combat AI mods (favorite modder).
3. QZ Easy Menus (menu escape for the old school folks) & TQP
4. Map Marker Overhaul (really most of TNO's stuff is top drawer - Enhanced Hotkeys).
5. Animated Windows Lighting System.
6. RAEVWD + various individual texture Replacers.
7. All Natural - all of it.
8. Race Balancing Project (Lame and Integration too).
9. Unique Landscapes.
10. Oblivion Graphics Extender.

plus ... a multitude of game play tweaks for combat, magic, stealth, immersion etc. ... too many to really name but the above always seem to be there.

Overhauls, cities, leveling ... since there is so much variety to these they don't feel essential. I prefer mods that improve game play and if anything is chocking my load order right now its AI.
