The only creature that has genuinely creeped me out were the wraiths in oblivion, and due to my paralyzing arachnophobia, giant frostbite spiders. Especially the sort that drop from the ceiling onto your head, i'm constantly looking up while i'm in a cave just to be sure i'm not gonna jump out of my skin. If I were on pc I would download that mod that replaces spiders with...bears I think it is?

Pretty sure that was added by Dragonborn to replicate in a way the Bloodmoon ones.

It's a shame they're super rare.

I've not really been scared by anything in the game but the noises chaurus make are really disturbing to me for some reason.

1 - The thrice damned blood dragon that random spawned right at the exit of a dungeon as I was leaving... loading screen to ROAR! not fun

You ask scary think , I havent been scared of anythink in skyrim but i can tell you how to do it.

You have to make a cave(or somethink that is at underground). That will be so dark, players will have to use torch to see. You must cover places with blood and dead bodies. You must make monsters strike when least excepted and make them instantly jump to your face to scare them :). They wont be scared if they see monster from far. You can make spiders silently go behind player and loud TSSS voice when they start attacking.

This is how do it friend :)

I don't think you quite understand the second question. See it from their point of view as if it were real life. In real life you're probably scared of killers. They're just human except they are willing to take a life.

Not 'BOOO' scary.

3. The Betrayed - especially when applying poison to their weapons

2. Trolls - when going by their lairs, "Look at the bones!"

1. Chaurus, especially Reapers - clickity, clickity, clickity. rattle, rattle, rattle. Spit, pinchers into your PC's body and the poison ensues.

Chaurus. Creepy things. Even more so with Dawnguard, when the Hunters were added. Not particularly scared of anything in Skyrim, but the chaurus is the most scary one.

Probably crawling kind because if your character is not well armored when you face one its poison can 1hit you

Also can you provide more info about your mod?

Well there's http://www.uesp.net/wiki/File:DB-creature-Seeker.jpg. They're pretty creepy. And invisible until they attack.

Yeah, those rotting walking corpses that just kept coming no matter how much you hit them :bolt: Especially the headless ones... :cold:

Argonian women are awesome in Skyrim. Their heads look like dinosaurs, they have tails like crocodiles  And boobs, of course  :bolt:

Mudcrabs. Freaking MUDCRABS! I cannot even go near one of those things without switching to third-person mode. You are casully walking down a peaceful lake, when suddenly some rock decides to come alive, unsheathe its claws and reveal itself as a mudcrab. It is a jump scare that gets me all the time. I do not mind the Frostbite Spiders as giant spiders are a little overused in fantasy settings and have become less scarier over time and I actually think that Chaurus′ are kind of cute. But mudcrabs... Oh God why?

I'll be honest, I'm not afraid of anything Skyrim throws at me.

I do find a few things annoying though...

2-Heimskr

Bears, for me. Freaking bears. They always seem to sneak attack from behind with no warning and startle the crap out of me.

Nothing has instilled chills in me more than the bark of a Deathlord detecting me. Those horns the sign of impending doom.

Dragons are second. The ground and controller suddenly shaking gives me a WTF chill every time. "Where is it? Take cover!" Great effect! Alduin would have been awesome, but the one time I've completed the MQ I had so much magic resistance and health he wasn't a threat.

And Michi's love: The Mammoth. So big and heavy. Those tusks. Imposing. Instills powerlessness in a foe.

It's an illusions spell pack. I want to have a set of spells that cause illusionary creature that scares off the npc. It will allow a planning style of play if the person chooses to. For example, npcs into a hall way that has a giant spider just around the corner. I'll also have some calming creatures for a different kind of playthrough for players but uses the same plan.

Hmm, it's a toss up between Chaurus and bears now. Keep in mind these will be giant versions of each.

I still can't believe no one thinks a giant werewolf, vampire lord or a dragon priest instills more fear than a bear. I must be way off with what I think is 'scary'.

3. Frostbite Spiders. I'm usually OK with spiders IRL, but not if they're that hairy!

2. Seekers. I haven't even played DB yet, but they look freakin' scary!

1. Chaurus. Those skittering noises, ugh! And they look disgusting! If something like that showed up in my house (in miniature form), I'm not even trying to step on it but hitting it with a broom! If it shows up in any size larger than a couple of inches, I'm leaving--it can have the house!! :bolt:

ha same here...ever been to Frostflow Lighthouse? There's candy in the caverns below ;)

Another thing that creeps me out is Dwarven Spheres and Spiders but I can't really say why.

I hate ice wraiths. They are small and have the ability to 2-shot you and when going through the snowy fields in northern Skyrim, they are practically impossible to spot quickly.

  1. How angry I get because I can't listen to that beautiful ambient track while riding through the RIft without being perpetually gang-[censored] by flipping bears.
  2. The first guttural sound a Draugr makes before it gets up and walks.
  3. Dual-wielding amped-up Foresworn Briarhearts.

Seriously man. Look no further. http://i.imgur.com/lqVKqXh.jpg

That is not something you fight. That is something an entire bandit camp/group runs from while pooping their pants.

Lurkers are easily the most terrifying creatures in the game. Bonus points for being Daedra. You want to scare someone in Skyrim? You use a daedric being. Lurkers are by far the most intimidating creature you can muster with Skyrim's engine limitations.

Can you even imagine seeing that in real life? It's something straight out of a nightmare.

My first encounter with the Falmer was I bit eerie, but that shortly ended. I just put them out of their misery these days.

Agreed. There is absolutely nothing in Skyrim that I consider frightening. I screamed once when a zombie caught me off guard in Oblivion. Anything undead in Oblivion gives me the creeps.
