Your top 3 scariest creaturesbeingsanimals etc

What are your top 3 scariest creatures/beings/animals etc?

If you want you can also answer top 3 that the people and creatures of Skyrim would be most scared of.

I'm collecting information on what most people are afraid of in Skyrim for my mod. In my mod the player can cast an illusionary creature that scares off enimies.

Edit: Looks like spiders are a common creature that invokes fear. That's one completed.

The common nord. Disgusting heretics. I'm surprised they can still speak! Have you seen them? Like something out of a nightmare. *shudders*

Also, these things. http://i.imgur.com/486SNyc.jpg?1

Though they're Daedra, and thus very rare. But I personally find them rather http://i.imgur.com/1ysvDPs.jpg, such a cute little bugger, with your gentle forbidden heart of murkiness. http://i.imgur.com/frQdMHF.jpg

But that's just me...

But yeah, that's a creature that will strike terror even in the hardiest of heroes.

Summoning the headless horseman ought to scare off enemies. :)

3. Trolls would be scarier if their animations weren't so awkward.

2. Not an arachnophobe but the Giant Spiders creep me out.

1. There is no 1, nothing else is really scary. Now if dungeons were dark and ghost were like wraiths in oblivion then they'd be at the top of this list. Ghost really creep me out...

Spiders. An army of draugr got nothing on me. But spiders? Stay the hell away from me.

Falmer and chaurus are next.

The zombies in Oblivion, dread zombies in particular, were horrifying.

3.Spiders because of their sounds.

2.Vampires, not scary. But if you don't realise when you get vampirism. Like me. Things get really ugly.

1.Chauruses, the normal ones I can easily kill. But the reaper..(the giant chaurus)..I remember facing one of those in a cave full of chauruses and this one as the final boss with a 7.1 headset. Now that was scary. It took me like 6 arrows to take him down but the thing was too [censored] fast and got to sting me once. And left me like 1mm in the health bar. But I got to kill him without dying.

Some Argonian female NPC, mainly because they look way too similar to Velociraptors.

Spiders. Sadly, nothing in Skyrim seems creepy like zombies/wraiths in Oblivion and bonewalkers/Sixth Housers in Morrowind.

Spiders and Chaurus tho... ew.

Closest [censored] thing to the Bloodmoon Draugr that were equally eerie (and closer to their RL folklore counterpart)

I just now noticed what appears to be blood around their jaws. Well [censored].

Judging from that and the fact that their clothes seem to be fashioned from human remains, yeah, they're probably supposed to be the Morrowind/Bloodmoon variant.

If you can find a way to get a High-res, High-Poly creeper in Skyrim... I think you'll be set.

The closest thing to "dread" that I've experienced in Skyrim itself is the Legendary Dragons. Something about the eyes.

Well... Seeing as I'm already terrified of zombies and other undead creatures, I spent the first six months from when I started to play Skyrim, persistently avoiding nordic tombs and similar places if I was home alone (even in daytime, yes). I cope better with it now, but... I still hate the damn things. So top on my list will be...

1. Draugr - add a slightly different texture, like some blood, a little darker skin, and have them scream at you some more. That'll make me stay far away from your mod. I hate being scared.

2. Chaurus Reaper - because yes.

3. Dragon Priests - Again, I think it's the undead thing... Also maybe that they kick my ass.

Edit: I'm not counding any DLC creatures here, as I have only been to Solstheim very shortly and I haven't come far in Dawnguard questline either, but... those ash thingies I got to see during my short visit to Solstheim would definitely make it on my list.

Draugr would be way scarier if the dungeons they populate weren't overlit. Could you imagine if the only thing that gave them away in the darkness was those glowing pinpoints they call eyes?

^Y'know, that's probably why that specific type of draugr creeps me out.

All the pale ones are too...I dunno, goofy? I think it's that specific draugr's coloration that does that precisely because of lighting. The skin tone kinda makes the creepy features stand out, IMO. I also have the misfortune of running into Hulking Draugr in poorly-lit areas, so that may be it.

But! I think that the glowing eyes also kinda ruins the scary factor. Were they hollow, http://images4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20110424195157/zelda/images/a/a0/ReDead_Artwork_(Ocarina_of_Time).png

I can hardly call anything in this game even remotely scary, but Lurkers are probably the most sinister creatures I can think of.

First post edited. 1-2 more to go. Keep in mind these creatures will be fixed in place like a statue. I was thinking a giant werewolf would be scary but no one else seems to think so.

I can look for a resource file on Nexus, that might work. I've always thought those were pretty scary looking daedra.

You can answer the second question if you want.

The rats because I suppose their bite is very sharp and doesn't kill you so the agony is longer. Besides, being smaller and agile means you might miss them with your weapon or spell. In some sort of "reality" of course, not in the actual game.

I can picture Rats being an entertaining spell. I used to play an online game called Vanguard: Saga of Heroes. An early quest had you opening a basket of Scorpions near a group of enemies. When the Scorpions escaped the basket, the enemies ran away in terror. I could imagine a spell that conjures a group of small rats that run all over the place and causes enemies to run away.

Though I like the Headless Horseman idea the best. :)
