I have to ask (not snidely, mind you), do you like this one because you can start out at level 15 or so?

I should of added MM and WW to my list, those were my favorites. I loved the darkness and mysteries of MM but something about playing WW for the first time really appealed to me 10 years ago. If I had the choice of getting a game if I ever get a Wii U, WW HD would be my only game. I really enjoyed taking pictures of all the different characters and having them converted to figurines to collect.

I liked OOT but I honestly did not think is was that great. The music is awesome, though.

Mmmm, I guess I see why you would think Wind Waker is overrated but that was mostly Nintendo marketing than the fanbase IMO. Now, ya, with WW HD for the Wii U but I remember how much negativity WW got when it was first talked about 10 or 12 years ago. I guess it just grows on people :P

From my observations ocarina is way more overrated than wind waker. I have friends who considered ocarina one of the best games ever made and at the same time never touched windwaker because of the cell shading graphics.
So say what you want about windwaker but I've never considered it overrated, if anything underrated. Of course that's just my opinion from my personal observations.

Before the 3DS hype, I personally considered MM a lot more underrated than WW was. Again, with the WW HD and MM for the 3DS, it is getting the appreciation it deserved but I still think OOT is a tad overrated. Great game but not really the best thing since sliced bread IMHO.

fair enuf.

for me, wind waker is one of the most boring and adolescent games in my library. the gameplay just kills me.

imo, it can't be underrated. it was prefunked and given great post-release reviews and has a remake.

personally, i think the great music in that game plays a bigger psyche role than we will ever fully understand;)

btw, i've never understood that whole wind-waker graphics thing. ocarina was released during a different gaming era (shoot, windwaker is in a different era, too) and i think that was just fanboyism at its core. (it's akin to people harping about oblivion graphics- subjectivity.)

Another aspect of this is that Ocarina was released to Nintendo 64, while Wind Waker was a GameBoy game for SNES.

1. LoZ: The Wind Waker - Once every other year. I play Zelda often.
2. Oblivion - Sporadically.
3. Paper Mario: TTYD - Just finished a playthrough.
4. Super Paper Mario - Once a year. I play Paper Mario a lot!
5. Yoshi's Island - Sporadically. I play Yoshi games in general, though.
6. Pikmin 2 - Once every three years. I play Pikmin in general as well.
7. Skyrim - More sporadically than Oblivion. I play ES games exclusively when they come out for about a year and a half.
8. Banjo-Tooie - Once every other year.
9. Journey - It's short, so I'll do a playthrough at odd times.
10. Halo 3: ODST - Once every other year, though I play Bungies games often.

I find myself corrected about Wind Waker, instead it was http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Legend_of_Zelda:_Link%27s_Awakening that was released as a GameBoy game for SNES.

It's for Game Boy and GB Color, not for SNES. But you can play GB games on SNES if you have an adapter for them.

Maybe you're thinking of A Link to the Past. SNES game later released for Game Boy Advance. For GameCube as well, if I remember correctly. I'm pretty sure it came with Wind Waker's Collector's edition.

Oh, you're probably talking about this:

Definitely deserves an honorable mention from me, same with Ocarina of Time, Wind Waker and Twilight Princess. Skyward Sword was the only Zelda game that I found disappointing.

I like GRAW 2 too. Vegas 2 had AI side missions which I found cool. They just felt like an external studio game, aside from that, they are fine.

Coincidentally, I just saw the lead programmer of Republic Commando who is also a Skyrim dev(which I didn't know!) making a LP commentary.

It is pretty cool.

Thanks a lot for linking to this video. I'm about 30 minutes into it. I never even played the game and I still find it interesting to listen to. It's really fascinating to hear him talk about the little details of game development.

I don't play too many FPS games anymore but this looks good and I'm almost tempted to go find a copy.

There is a cool insight every five seconds. Would love to see more of this kind of thing from other devs too. Valve provides in game commentary bubbles but this is a more fun way.

Go for it. It is an all around game, you will love at least one aspect of it for sure.

Games that I still play even after beating it that I consider my top ten are ( no order)

Tf2 360 seriously this game is the [censored] once I start playing it I cant stop.

Oblivion, skyrim, fallout 3 and sometimes morrowind. I dont need yo explain.

Red dead redemtion if I didnt accidently sell it I would have started a new playthrough several more times by now.

Borderlands 1-2 series I love the world it set in and the loot system in the first one was more generous and fun.

Half life 2 the atmosphere in this game is top notch I remember I bought the orange box long before I got my first 360 i kept it in my closet wrap in a blanket untill I bought the 360.

Dragons dogma a sleeper hit for sure and it will always have a place in my heart.

Metro series such a beatifully solom meloncolly world the story is interesting and the game is engaging.

Super smash bros melee and smash brawl (only with the project M patch) this game is my ultimate fighting game. street fighter? Mortal combat? No thank you.

Animal crossing for the nintendo gamecube I love this game to bad the newer ones change the camera type I dont like it.

Turok series all of them up untill the 360game version that was a sham bewareoblivionisathand
