list the essentials of your perfect elder scrolls game. Would you lean more towards improving the action? Or bringing back the largely diminished rpg aspects? Or would you turn it into a fantasy version of the sims (yes, we know who you are, you weirdos).
My perfect elder scrolls game -
An updated version of Morrowind's combat and ethic of being able to fail at all actions. Except where morrowind's combat had no animation for a 'miss', the new system would + all the modern trimmings like nice physics and graphics and whatnot
Unique, static, hand-placed loot
static npcs, with the hardest enemies guarding the best treasures
spell-making, and a [censored] load of amazing spell effects - levitation!!
Attributes!
lots of skill-checks in dialogue, like New Vegas
no fast-travel - a logical travel system of boats, carriages etc that makes you plan your travels
hand-written quest directions - NO quest markers
an overall disposition system, with separate factional dispositions.
optional hardcoe mode - you have to eat, drink and sleep regularly to survive
degradable armour and weapons that require maintenance
these are the main things that would make for the perfect elder scrolls game imo, lots of rpg goodness. So what do people think of that list - sound good, or is it offensive to your most fundamental moral judgements?
