I was wandering around and these three "soldiers" stopped me, told me I was interfering with Imperial business, and then demanded 100g... so I killed them, of course. Nearby I found the dead bodies of the real soldiers who had been stripped of their uniforms.

:D I actually gave them 100 gold as I was on my way to Bleak Falls Barrow and I had bigger fish to fry. Besides, I'm trying to play a "saint" and they weren't attacking me or anything, so I didn't attack them -- I just let them go. Then of course I find the dead bodies whose clothes they took. Nice! Murderous bastards! :toughninja: Well... Seems that they are also the "hired thugs" (maybe I'm wrong though), so they attacked me of course and I attacked back. Killed 'em! If they were the "soldiers" I met prior, they just got their just reward! :D

Yeah I had that, I thought it was quite a cool easter egg. :)

I've heard from my friends aunties workmates son that if you follow it, it will lead you to a nice cache of high level gear. :hubbahubba:

Yes!

That's exactly what happened to me in my post. I was starting to wonder if I was the only one to have experienced it

Same thing happened to me in the Northern part, near Dawnstar or Winterhold. I was also part of the Legion and cut them down like the rats they were.

Made an account just to post here

So, i was on my way to High Hrothgar ( I think about halfway up the Throat of the World ), when a Whiterun guard stopped me because i had a 50 gold bounty. Yea, a guard followed me from the city all the way up the mountain just for a 50 gold bounty =.=
I decided to resist arrest, and, without even hitting him, pushed the guard off the cliff and he disappeared under the fog. That was the funniest moment i ever had :D

I thought this was just awesome:

I was walking from Riften to Ivarstead, and I wasn't on the road. After killing a pack of wolves a man runs up to me with a name of "Fugitive". He gives me a Shield of Minor Blocking and says, "Keep this safe for me, sell me out, or betray me, and I'll kill you." Then, about five seconds later, another man runs up to me, this guy is called "Hunter", and he says "Have you seen a man run around here?" At this point I have three options.

"Yes"
"No, sorry" and
"I assume this Shield is yours?"

I chose the second to see if the two would play cat and mouse, but the Hunter just locked onto the Fugitive and started poking arrow holes into him, and all the Fugitive did was try to hide, which wasn't working. So that's when I killed the Fugitive with a blast of fire. I then tried to give the Shield to it's rightful owner, who refused it, even after I waved it right in his face. So I took the Shield, and sold it for a quint amount of money.

I then loaded an earlier save to see if I could see what the Hunter would say if I did the other options. But no matter how many reloads I did, and no matter how long I waited, they never returned.

Anyhow, that's my story. I thought it was amazing to see what random events happen in Skyrim. And I have yet to see a better one in my hours of playing time so far (But the Dragon that attacked me on the way to High Hrothgar is VERY close behind).

Well, mine is unique compared to these.

I saw 3 horkers being fat way up north. I decided to kill them, but before I got there I noticed a snow sabre cat killing them. I was happy at first. Then when I shot at the cat it ran off. I tried to follow it, but it ran like a 'vampire from 1000 suns'. <------- If you get the reference 10000000 internetz.

I've got two stories...First one was I was heading up to the Lover Stone, I was taking the hard way and not going by road and when I reached the top a pair of dragons came over and [censored] me. Luckily I saved only a bit earlier so I ran up there again, more prepared but surprise: three dragons. I saved it again at this point and managed to get killed by them multiple times before finishing all three of at the same time. Then they decided to just watch me when they were all low on health, so I fired an arrow into them and the each died and I had a glorious long, garbled absorption of dragon souls and music.

Second event was in a fairly new game, and I walked into the Whiterun Inn/bar at night time and it was just packed. I swear everyone in town was inside there. there was also a trio of guests who had "thug" in their names and I tried to talk to them and they proceeded to [censored] me. So I reloaded and ran outside, leading them in chase, and not a soul in town helping -_- so I went into the Companions house and one of the thugs followed and I killed him. I went back outside after this and the others had disappeared. Must've been scared of my orcishly looks.

I've also been haunted by the naked courier...in multiple saves.

Had the fugitive scene as well.

After stabbing the fugitive in the back, I stood over his corpse when the owner of the item he had stolen came along.

Both of us standing over his corpse, he asked me if I had... seen him, and upon giving the owner back the stolen item, he continued on, saying that he would kill the thief when he catched him, stepping over the thief's dead body and running off.

I was a little.... o.O after that

The fugitive came up to me on the College of Winterhold's bridge, he gave me the item, then tuned and ran straight off the bridge. He died, obviously.

I came across some bandits attacking the horse of peddler they killed when all of a sudden, a frost dragon jumped into the fight and I was caught in the middle of it. During the fight, an ice mage and a flame atronach also jumped in. It was cool.

okay so I've had the usual backwards flying dragons like every one else since the patch and I've also had a character twin - where a characters graphic has been double and stands next to himself but they are simple glitches. My all time weirdest moment had to be one that was 100+ hours in the making!

So lets set the scene. I just started playing and the first town you come across is Riverwood and possiblely the first little quest you happen upon is the love triangle involving the sister of the Riverwood Trader owner, an Elf and a Nord, okay did that quest and carried on playing. About 100 hours in or so I guessed it was time to get married to get the 10 point achievement and few extra benefits so I choose the sister so I could have an inhouse trader and moved her to Winterhold's Breezehome to live and then just carry on playing some more. Anyway, yes getting to the point, after a long days questing I fast travel back to Winterhold to unload, sell stuff and spend time with ingame wife and just as I appear after fast traveling to WInterhold inside the gates, said Elf from Riverwood is standing there, greets me and runs to the exit! WTF! I mean I gave her a new decent home, I spend all day questing hard and bringing home lots of Spetims and stuff and thats how she repays me? Just cause the game won't let me get into bed with her doesn't mean she has to do that to me, lol.

Fought two bandits by some stairs and enjoyed the sight of seeing their dead bodies fall to the room below as i finished them off.

Saw some wolves chasing down a moose on the road for dinner when they turned to face me. Guess i looked tastier.

Came across a dwemer cannon or catapult in a dwemer dungeon. Not expecting anything to happen i pressed a nearby lever and Ba Boom! It blew up some unseen bandits who were camping on the lower floor.

Walking in the frozen barren wind swept snowy wastes i came across a thief who handed me something he had just plundered. A few minutes later i ran into the person who the theif had stolen the ill gotten plunder from.

Finding the shattered remains of Mehrunes Razor in a trap drenched room.

Releasing a werewolf in a dungeon cell and finding out its killing lust is greater then its sense of graditude and silver weapons are best when not melted down.

Fighting a bandit and as he begged for mercy the killing animation kicking in with his face zooming into the screen with hopeless despair in his eyes as my blade thrust into him. Life is hard. Death is quick.

I had thief stop me on the road and demand money. Among the options I could choose from when responding back, was to say, "Don't you recognize a fellow guild member?" He responded, "Of course, I've seen you around the Flagon. Good luck out there." Then he left me alone. I stabbed him in the back and stole everything he had.

Going through a certain cave, I went down a ramp and glanced around, admiring the sights. Then I turned right, thinking I saw a chest. I did see a chest. It was a Falmer's chest. He was standing right next to me, nose to nose. I squeaked out loud and then Fos Roh'd him right in the Dah.

There's a certain wind swept location at the end of a very important quest chain that is populated by undead. I wiped most of them out, only to see one had bugged along one wall. He stood at the top of few steps, staring at a stone slab with a long black sarcophagus on it. He was doing the slight shifting idle animation, so walked up to him. Right as I got shoulder to shoulder with him, he turned and locked his burning red eyes on me, then looked back to the sarcophagus. I know it was a bug, but I got this epic sense of regret, like he was a sworn man to some ancient king, but in the strange dreams of his long sleep, he came to realize he had been played for a fool. I popped a Destruction potion and back peddled, then summoned up a two fisted Ice Spear which I sent through the base of his skull. He flopped over onto the bier, and then slid down it. I laid him out next to the sarcophagus and then went on my way. There's a little more to the tale, but this is the non-spoiler section.

I had a snow bear chase me into a dragon, then a squad of imperials came over the mountain and fought the dragon. then i killed the bear and helped the imperials as they got slaughtered and then the dragon aggroed a Troll and so i had to kill him while my companion and daedra knight guy tanked the dragon. Finally after the epic FFA deathmatch i took down the dragon. it wasnt easy on Master difficulty with the resistance bug still in place but it was awesome.

I was exploring around Winterhold when I came upon http://skyrimnexus.com/imageshare/images/374434-1323538679.jpg
I can imagine the story: two friends go out hunting, are surprised by a snowstorm. Unable to see through all the storm, one of them steps in a beartrap. He can't get out and is basically dead. His friend has the choice to stay with his dying partner or try to find his way back to safety. He stays and freezes to death.
