A lot of the suggestions here are boringly generic, impossible to implement or blatantly obvious. So I'm going to post some ideas that are actually implementable and probably useful:

Ranked-based matchmaking for 2v2/4v4/6v6 competitive playlist (championship ladder system).

Please do not make melee overpowered (one-hit kill with full power to armor), a knife should not win against a bullet.

Please bring back Powerstruggle game mode; everything in Powerstruggle should remain the same, such as being forced to make kills to purchase more powerful weapons and vehicles (Battlefield & Halo simply spawns them for all to use and then they are then rendered a novelty to those who use them RATHER THAN BEING A TOOL TO THOSE WHO EARN THEM).

Add a hardcoe mode (call it EMP Mode, where an alien EMP has disabled all human electronics for invasion) for people who want to play tactically. Armor and suit functionality is disabled (the HUD will display an immersive error message from the nanosuit). You cannot see your ammo count unless you manually count it yourself. Bullets directly damage health, no automatic healing, no killstreaks, no vehicles, no minimap or radar. Just your skill and your mind.

Please do not allow killstreaks to be stackable, they should not be easy to acquire, they should allow for the losing team to catch up and not allow the winning team to steamroll the losing team. Allow them to be called in at whatever sequence the player wants (do not force them to be called in from the last one earned using only a single dpad button à la Call of Duty)

Please allow for players rank to DE-LEVEL based on bad kill/death or win/lose ratios so rank would actually reflect individual SKILL rather than reflecting TIME PLAYED.

That's kind of mean, but, would be fair if killed and not dying/suicidal in the field.

Please tell me why games have ranks at all if they do nothing but show how much time has been played to unlock the next weapon?

People always boast about their ranks online and no one knows that it never portrays skill unless there is a factor in calculating actual accuracy, tactics and teamwork assists and puts those numbers against or for your actual rank.

The only game that currently exists and that will probably ever do anything similar that actually calculates pure skill and pits your kill/deaths, wins/losses and per-weapon accuracy against your rank is Halo (specifically the recent Halo: Reach). It has 2v2 arena that keeps track of your wins and losses for five days, then it compares you to players who also played in arena with you and pits you against similarly skilled players, so as you progress, the matches are getting harder and harder because the game is actually putting you against better and better skilled players as you move up in the ladder or rank higher.

i like most of these
also would like to add to the last point, if you have a good ranking system and a skill ranking system you could use it to make a good autobalancer based on skill ranking to provide a fair game for everyone

You do realise you just said " a lot of the suggestions here are boringly generic, impossible to implement or blatantly obvious" and then asked them: to put in your hardcoe mode which takes away all the nanosuit features and makes the game generic, to implement a whole game mode from crysis that completely goes against they're new mp vision, to put in vehicles after they've already stated that vehicles wont be in mp and a whole new leveling up and rank system. :P also the nanosuit 2 is emp proof.

"Dynamic Faraday mesh for unsurpassed emp shielding" and "for unsurpassed protection against radiation, emp and physcial impact".
I do hope they change this emp's grenades are epic, It may become a nanosuit mod in mp though.

oops randomly posted a 2nd time for no reason :S sooo ummm I hope that you fight in a new york zoo and get to throw exploding chickens and turtles at CELL and aliens and then that at the end of the level you ride a flying alligator destroying alien gunships until you smash into the emipre state building and wake up realising it had all been a dream and get cooed back to sleep by prophet who is sharing a holiday at the remnants of the linghshan islands with you.

The sprint movement should be more realistic, like it just goes back and forth. Something like CoD or prefered Medal of Honor's.
NOTE: I talking about the First person. not overally character animation. Just the First person look animation.
