Your worst moment playing nv

Post » Mon Feb 01, 2010 10:01 am

every time i get near the end and the writers decide who i shouid kill. i cant even try to lie i have a 100 in speech but can t use it during the most important times of the game. I can get a hoker to bang me for 50 caps less but no options during the important time. None of the ways this game can end r the best way and the writers hamstrung the player into doing things he doesnt think is a good idea or the game will not progress.
Uh, if you have 100 Speech,
Spoiler
you can talk Lanius into retreating, Obsidian gives you way more options than in Fallout 3

Everytime i get near the end is the worst because it seems like there r choices but they r really all real close to the same.

How so? I dont see what you mean, i could imagine them all doing it a different way but it would be illogical.

Having little to no health, using a frag grenade hoping to clear out two jackals at once.

My mistake? I threw the grenade uphill and it rolled back down and exploded in my face. I hate hills.

Ugh... Quarry Junction by far. Had a deathclaw chase me from there to Sloan. It killed everything. I felt genuine fear when I was unloading clip after clip into that thing as he wiped out that whole town.

The first time I slept in-game. I was going through the houses in Goodsprings and found a usable bed. I lay down......and woke up next to Easy Pete. Guess that's why they call him "easy."

What was your WORST moment playing this awesome game?

Every time the game freezes up. On occasion the game will also make my PS3 power off for a spit second, and then power back up. I've never experienced this with any other game either.

:(

(But I still love you anyways, Bethesda!)

Hands down it was when I found out that Veronica was a lisbian. :banghead: When I first met her I thought DAMN that is one fine looking woman...thanks Obsidian....I went about 30 hours with her as my companion, searching for a dress, giving her teddy bears, trying to find the best armor that would show off her body the best.....when I finally realized that she probably wasn't going to actually put a dress on, I started asking her some more questions...well, you know what happened then.
My jaw dropped to the floor and I went another 50 hours with Boone before I allowed her to travel with me again!! :hugs:

Agreed. In my case, I like walking around with Cass, however it really svcks when you give a NPC some alternate clothing to wear, and they don't. I'd like to see Bethesda make a mod for this, along with giving the main character to become romantically involved (family, intimate, or otherwise) as the storyline progresses.....

My worst moment playing? Probably when I got Caesar to follow me into the Arena in fron tof his tent, and we had a fist fight. I had him hands down beat, liek one more hit and he would be a corpse, and I get shot in the back by someone. I turn around to see its some random legionaire, so I pul out my gun and shoot him back. But, as I turn around, Caesar hits me like a boss, and I die. I had to re-kill everyone in the fort

Getting pwned by a group of ghouls by the Nuclear Test Site... on mulitple saves. I tried laying mines, using grenades and tried crippling their legs - alas, it was all in vain. Getting mauled by a Golden Gecko somewhere west of the Colorado River. Getting pwned by both fire and golden geckos in some cave. Getting pwned by Nightkins on Black Mountain at a fresh level. Getting killed by a Mirelurk King's sonic attack a few times. Getting blown up many times in an attempt to navigate a path to NAFB.

Yep. Many failures.

First encountering Cazadore. "Pffft, these little pansy bugs?" -pulls out varmint rifle- *Five seconds later* "OH GOD RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN"

My first play was not serious. I was testing out a hacked Power Armor mod (Enclave), and was torn apart by them... Laughed, and said "I'm gonna like this game".

Mostly the lag issues and the lack of emotional connection, something I loved in Fallout 3. The lag issues make it hard to progress in the game and tend to corrupt the save files. Very annoying. Still the game is enjoyable, but I won't be resuming with it until the lag issues are fixed.

Thinking that exploring the crashed vertibird would be a good idea. Me, Boone, and Rex... only a few bots around, this should be easy right? Oh god no.. no no no no.. Never even saw the Vertibird, just a lot more Security bots and lots of lasers in my face.

Toss up between that and my first meeting with cazadores... oh, big wasps, neat.. lets kill them.. or run away screaming.. that seems like the better option now.

When I flip on the radio for the first time and discover only country western music. I thought my head was going to explode.

I now never listen to the radio in New Vegas. When I play, I put Manowar or something on the stereo.
