Your WTF Moments in Skyrim #16

Post » Sun May 18, 2014 7:36 am

Speaking of dragons.... Cara killed one the other day right infront of a bridge. I had the HUD on as I had marked Meekos shack ( wanting to adopt him for the kids) and right before the dragon soul animation started up I still see a red dot...whaaat? dragons dead... bright glowy lights, can't see what's comming. Soon as the lights go I look, still see nothing but dragon bones, went to 3rd person to get a better veiw..nothing. Vorstag is standing there weapons sheathed. Ok...wtf is going on? Dragons head starts "hopping" up and down...jaws flapping. ...... and out crawls one of the tiny mud crabs, pinchers waving. Cara did not have the heart to slay the little mud crab.

My last character killed a frost dragon in Raven Rock just as she was getting ready to head back to Skyrim. Went home did a few quests and when they arrived back on Solstheim they stepped off the boat and WHAM! the dragon bones fell from the sky onto the boat. Poor deck hand was sweeping too, lol http://i.imgur.com/mC91fmC.png.

I don't use deadly dragons either btw.

I have 2 dead dragons in my Raven Rock. One right on top of where the alchemist is supposed to be, and her house, and the other one is on the boat.

Ok, how is that a wtf moment? Unless of course the dragon bones fell from the sky.

A wtf somewhat but towards the Khajiit caravans . . .

Complains about being accused of being thieves and skooma dealers.

One khajiit is a sneak trainer and the caravan leaders sell skooma.

Can someone explain why they have a reason to complain again?

Khajiit do not see Skooma (or moon sugar) as a drug really, it is part of their religion.

I quoted that guy so I was obviously responding to him. But I left out an important detail. The first dragon was originally on the boat, NOW it's on the alchemist's house. Then I killed another and it landed on the boat in the same spot that the other one was in.

Anytime I get attacked by "nord", "khajit", etc.

A bonus when they wear glass armor, that armor is just weird.

While wondering the plains of Whiterun, I came across the two skeletons and their necromancers. Well I killed the two skeletons and headed along when I saw a third skeleton. He was wearing a black hood and holding a frost spell and an ancient nord sword. The best part, he wasn't aggressive! He just stood there looking at me! I named him Jimmy the Friendly Skeleton and I return from time to time to see what he's up to. He's not the talkative type, that's for sure.

I was in Saarthal as a level 6 or something svcky mage, I died about 4 times before even reaching the boss room (I never really play a mage so yeah, I svck). After dying for the fourth time I realized I have a ressurection spell, so I tried it on a draugr and lo and behold, he stands up and starts fighting for me! So when we meet up with Tolfdir in the boss room I figured I wouldn't make it out of there alive. But I hid, and when Tolfdir did his thing, my ressurected draugr killed Jyrik Gauldurson. So yeah, not only am I a svcky mage, but also a coward.

Cowardice is a critical quality in mages. You've taken your first step to greatness...

Farkas is a complete idiot. At first I thought maybe he was just missing some pieces but no he is complete. Or he is a racest nord...

My little Altmer thief girl joined the companions simply to have shelter over her head and training in fighting. Plus its the only way I can RP her going in there and discovering that gem that ties into the thieves guild for No Stone Unturned or what ever its called. Also a little background on my Altmer. She is mostly blind. Her eyes have a white haze on them.

Anyway she is lv 3 and joined the companions and Farkas gives her a job. Go kill vampires at Moldering Rock or what ever its called out on the edges of Whiterun Hold and the Reach. She's lv 3 ok? Carries a dagger and is mostly blind. Farkas what the hell is wrong with you? She's going to need some help for this one. I thought about reloading and seeing if I got a different quest but I won't. This should offer an interesting RP...

But still Farkas what the hell?

Also I use UFO but not the plug in for followers to ride horses. Kaileena broke into the Whiterun stables and stole a couple plates and things. She went outside to find her khajiit follower had stolen a horse and was standing there by the door on it. WTF? lol So to test something I dismissed him and he rode off on the horse!

To be fair, the game mechanics doesn't recognize blindness. So Farkas can't help that he's stupid. There really should be a lowest level for some dungeons he sends people to, though (like Shimmermist Cave...). (You wouldn't have had to join them to get the stone, though. My thief walked in there, pretended he wanted to join, but since he already was a member of the Guild and I had the setting active in the Companions mod to not let thieves join, Kodlak refused him. My thief sneaked into his bedchamber behind his back and took the stone. Neither Kodlak nor Vilkas noticed. :P Getting the stone from Dragonsreach was actually harder. Since I used the Helgen start with him, he got jumped by Irileth even though he tried to sneak by them all. He said "yeah, sure, whatever" and then left Balgruuf standing at Farengar's desk for all future.)

And WTF with the stolen horse, never seen followers steal stuff...

Well you saw the pics with him on the horse. he simply took it lol.

Well since Kaileena hasn't made it to Riften. Kodlak had no dialog about refusing to let a thief join.

I do think Irileth will jump her though in Dragonsreach. She passed through Helgen with Rhaj'ade and saw the dragon. And she had to use the dialog "Riverwood needs help" on the Whiterun guards. Though she never went into the cave to rescue Ralof or Hadvar. So we'll see. I do want to trigger Dragon Rising to get My Time of Need though... so it could all work out.

I just got attacked by an Argonian assassin. He used the silent roll to maneuver around me during his assault. That's the first time I've ever seen an NPC use the silent roll. It was actually pretty cool.

Was changing armor at a bandit camp a character I rolled is aligned with. She is a nord and was standing there naked when a bandit woman walked by and commented that I was going to catch a cold.

The men in the camp didn't seem to mind. One said "Alright now its a party!"

Never heard that line of dialog before in regards to naked characters.

Usually happens when a quest-tied NPC is killed by something other than the player.

It wasn't a quest-tied NPC but an NPC added by a mod (Populated lands/roads/areas or something). There are hundreds of NPCs called Mercenary Archer, I didn't even know I befriended one, let alone which one :P

Karita singing Ragnar the Red. By the Nine...

I guess the biggest WTF is that I've put nearly 2000 hours into this game and never actually heard her sing it all the way through before. I tend to not hang out in Dawnstar any longer than I have to, so I guess I was never in the Windpeak long enough to hear all of it.

I mean, I knew the beginning of the song was rough, but it just gets crazier as it goes on. Wow.

Kaileena and Sighne were off to slay some vampires for Farkas when they ran into the fugitive. Not liking his tone both girls killed him. Then the hunter runs up, asks if they saw anything and then just walked off. Kaileena still has the armor the fugitive gave her lol. I thought the hunter always triggered actual dialog with the option to lie about the item or return it. Oh well. Had a nice health enchantment she's going to need against vampires.
