My 2014 was incredible. I had my first anniversary near the start, and in that night I made my son. I was put on long-term sickness from work for 8 months due to a medical misdiagnosis (I was perfectly healthy), but I remained on full pay for 6 of those months and the insurance covered the other two. I returned to work just before I started a part-time schedule at work, which I coupled with annual leave meaning that I worked for on average 2 days per month for the rest of the year. Being pregnant, my wife was unable to work due to the nature of her job, and then she has been on maternity leave, making my 2014 fantastic, as it has all basically been spent at home relaxing with my wife. Until my little boy was born in September, and then relaxation has been the last thing on the horizon. No holidays this year, but a few nights in UK hotels. Lots and lots of xbox time, co pelting all assassins creed games from the first up to Black Flag. I bought a tonne of games for my xbox one and have a good yea 2015r planned for gaming.
Next year should be very, very interesting. There will probably be some crawling, maybe even walking from my baby. He should start communicating soon, too, as we are giving him sign-language classes (he is 3 months old, they usually begin signing at 6 months). I plan on going to Egypt with my brother this month and I expect I'll go away at some point with my wife. Later in the year I will get a promotion (it is an automatic promotion, which I get upon completing certain criteria with regards to years working at my job) which will see a 50% increase in salary. Therebis also talk from my wife and I of giving my son a little brother or sister, so that could be another exciting event.
So all in all last year was amazing, and next year looks set to be fantastic too.
How did everybody else find last year, and what is coming in 2015?
