Youtube Strike and Video Removal

Post » Tue Dec 08, 2015 7:40 am

I uploaded yesterday a 1 minute video of a spoiler free part with my share function from my PS4 to my youtube channel. And today I get a strike on youtube as it was removed, yet I wonder if this is okay.

If Betheda doesn't want folks to upload Fallout 4 gameplay, they should block the share record function (some games do this) with a patch or make an agreement which I need to sign (or at least click a check box).
I bought the game in a store and my PS4 runs it normally and I wasn't informed anywhere that it is illegal to do so, so why do I get a strike on youtube, so that I can't use individual thumbnails anymore?

You can't upload anything Fallout 4 until midnight. They trying to avoid spoilers. Even if you don't have them in your video they're not going to watch every FO4 video to see if they have spoilers. It's easier to just remove any Fallout 4 content.

That said someone on YOutube named MRBossFTW was or still is streaming it. But he probably got a review copy.

So, because a store broke street date, and you started posting from a game your not supposed to have yet, they should add in code to disable features on the console? At best you should be annoyed at the store that gave you that copy illegally.

Easiest solution would be to not allow Share by default and make an unlock as day 1 patch, but ok...so can I upload tomorrow?

@Mavkiel as several stores had it I didn't think much about it...I just bought it at the cheapest location

You mean other than playing before the launch date? Take it up with the retailer that sold you the game early.

By the way, your logic is flawed. Why do speedometers go to 100 when the police will stop you if you go that fast? The car dealer shouldn't sell me a car that can break the law!

Just that you are taught in the process of getting a drivers license, that you need to drive according the speed limitations (at least in the country I live in). Nowhere was written:"Forbidden to be shared until November 10th", so your logic is flawed, as in your example Bethesda is the driving school.

Nope, you tried to share info about a game that was sold to you prior to the release date. Direct your ire at the shop that broke the street date. Neither Bethesda nor youtube did anything wrong. You on the other hand did.

If you're putting up content now, it won't be removed (we have enough folks with legitimate copies of the game). Videos were pulled over the weekend because of our video policy. Note the bolded text...

Ok, with this I can live...I just didn't know that the retail date was later, only saw it after I looked into why it was removed...as it was in the shelves of 3 electronic markets and gamestop. And is it really save now as the video got removed less than 5 hours ago?

You really choose a bad time to upload your video. It's officially out in New Zealand and Australia a few (2 or 3) hours ago.

My understanding is that no further videos will be removed.

Uploads a video breaking street date, and NDA... then blames Bethesda. Makes absolute sense!

The trade off is living in proximity of worlds most venomous creatures and higher priced stuff.

Oh, wow, no.
I have this mindset, just because someone posts something full of fact and something you dont want to hear, or could be considered negative, doesnt mean they are butt hurt or even least bit jealous.

It may be an illegal copy but who gives a sh*t?

Just comes across as jealousy to me.

Who cares? Hmmm, lets see,
Bethseda/gamesas,
Fans,
Reviwers,
Ect.

People care because it is illegal for who actually care about the law/morals, not because we are jealous.
