Yuck

Alright, so here's the story. Last night I was eating some Jalapeno/lime peanuts , started feeling under the weather as the night went on, sleeping was hell, but now I am feeling a bit better. Problem is , whenever I burp, I can taste those damn peanuts, it is honestly, the most repulsive taste to have when you aren't feeling that great. Whenever I burp, I feel like I am going to puke, even thinking about those things makes me cringe now. So, like any normal person, I took on Google, apparently soft drinks help, so I got a class of Coke , 3 cups later, I can still taste the damn things.

So, like any normal , failed by Google person I came to these forums. Does ANYONE have a remedy for changing your burps? What I have had:

- Toast
- 3 cups of Coke (Diet)
- Water
- Brushed my teeth.

Nothing has changed. Help me . ]:

Mouthwash. Or that tea that totally resets your palate.

No mouth wash, and we have a HUGE box of green tea, think that will work? o:

Garlic based tablets (like vitamins). Within about an hour you'll taste nowt but garlic when you burp... Although I don't know if it will mingle with the taste of the peanuts? :(

Green tea was probably the best idea here, the bitterns in there obliterate nearly every taste you had in your mouth before. That's why it's the perfect thing to drink when you have a delicious meal, every new bite after a sip is like you've not eaten yet, a small tastesplosion. ^_^

€: Mouth. Taste in your mouth. Though I won't be prejudiced about human-moth half-breeds.

Actually what I was going to suggest was rather drastic, and I am slightly embarrassed that the tea turned out to work. :P

I was going to say; force yourself to throw up (by putting a whole bunch of salt in distilled water and drinking it). Then once you brushed your teeth, you would've been better. But feeling slightly weak.

However, since I hear that you're facing aching muscles I can help with that as I am in exactly the same boat. (Had a tough workout session yesterday). There are several body stretches that would do wonders for you. Simply stretch the aching muscles to the point of discomfort (not pain, discomfort. Don't go too far.) Hold it for 10 seconds before returning.

Or you could try some light exercises such as lightly jogging on a treadmill (running in place if you don't have one) or lifting light weights. (Very light, like 1Kg).

-snip-

I have tried to make myself throw up again today, no luck. Seems I am fine walking around, and staring at a screen all day, but the moment I go to try to sleep, and close my eyes, feels like I will puke, so I run to the bathroom, and I am fine again.

Also, do the exercises work for flu aching muscles? You know the kind where it feels like your body heat is in the negatives, and you can't really do much of anything?

Yeah I've had this problem several times and I'm not even sure what caused it. Though it should go away in a few hours.

Yep. The exercises work in the same situation. You'll finish feeling better than you began, that's for sure. If you feel too weak for exercises, don't push yourself though. Stick to the stretches.

Oh and I forgot to add, eat plenty of bananas. Potassium helps.

You're welcome!

Banana-less my house be.
Any other possible foods, I went on google for it, but got a load of "protein" with no food suggestions.

I found this. It might help. Underlined the symptom you're feeling. And remember not to OD.

Awesome, thanks :) . I think I will go cook up a egg sandwich, egg for protein, and whole wheat bread for the Potassium.
Unfortunately, we have one orange left, and as far as I know, none of those vegetables.
