Zach & Robyn Play Oblivion

January 10, 2011

So now that we both had similar schedules, my girlfriend and I decided to play oblivion long distance with each other. We will do this by creating characters together and then posting updates on what weve done in the game and updating each other. Yall can feel free to jump in and comment. Right now we are discussing creation. In a little while Ill post up mine and she will post up hers.

We are going to try to make this part playthrough and part fan-fiction, we may have some kinks to iron out or some artistic liberties to take with the story line/mythology. But we will try to do our best to keep it fun and entertaining.

Location: Charactor Creation Screen/Pre-Tutorial Dungeon

Name: Snagdu gro-Shula
six: M
Age: 35
Race: Orc
Birthsign: Mage
Class Name: Shaman
Specialty: Magic
Attributes: Speed, Willpower
Skills: Alchemy, Athletics, Hand to Hand, Conjuration,
Illusion, Mysticism, Restoration

Background: Back in my home land of Orsinium I was a shaman in the service of Malacath. I spent my days studying various Magics and Plants to heal and guide my people. One night my hut was disturbed by a group of spell-casters in black and red robing. I beat them since-less with my bare hands, robbed one of his robe because I liked the decor of it, and sent them away. That night Malacath spoke to me and said I should set off for Cyrodil. So I did... and I was shortly arrested for wearing the robes into a mages guild and disturbing the peace...

Sounds interesting. An interesting class, with an interesting Backstory. I look forward to reading your updates on your stories.
The only thing I don't understand, is I thought you had one character till Skyrim? :P

Character Information:
Name: Thordia
six: Female
Age: 27
Race: Nord
Birthsign: The Lady
Class Name: Guerriere
Specialty:Combat
Attributes:Strength and Endurance
Skills: sneak, blade, athletics, armorer, alchemy, marksman, heavy armor

Background:
I grew up in Skygrim, but thats about it, I was out of there and on the road as soon as I could muster it, don't get me wrong, I loved my family, they're family, but I couldn't take it anymore. Its not so easy being the only girl out of 5, the center of a testosterone sandwich, especially with my people. I learned to fight young, and I learned to fight well. That was the only way to do it with my brothers, but no matter what I was still the girl. So maybe I left to prove myself, even though I said it was for the adventure of it, but in any case once I was of age, I packed up the few things I could call my own and I took off, traveling between cities, working odd jobs when I could. In any case, I guess the central question is, how did I end up here? Well, thats a funny story really...So, I was camped out just outside Imperial city in Cyrodil, I was working on repairing my blade, it had a ding from a scuffle with a particularly stubborn wolf, and I broke my hammer, I needed a new one...and I also needed the money for it, so I made my way into the city and into the nearest Tavern in hopes of finding an odd job or two, It was a quiet night it seemed, only a few patrons sipping their pints so I went over to the barmaid, an imperial lass herself I thought she might know of someone who needed some labor done, she promptly laughed at my request, or me, for one reason or another,...and I, well, I promptly gave her a good right hook for it..and perhaps a left too...and here I am, stuck here, without my blade, in this forsaken itchy linen sack, all because the girl couldn't hold her own against me...I sometimes 'forget' different regions have different means of 'solving disputes' ...I guess all I've got to do now is ' sit here and think about what I did'...thanks guards, real gem of advice that is...

In the Cell
``````````````````
It turns out there was someone else in my cell, I didn't notice him at first, until this idiot in the cell across the corridor started heckling me, 'ooo what a pretty lass they'll treat you nice' ' you think you're tough don't you?' I balled my fists to my sides, I held my tounge, resentfully, when I heard a voice coming forward from the back of the cell, telling that idiot to piss off and leave us alone. I don't suppose they often lock up men with women, but I guess the guards didn't notice him in here either sulking in the back like that.
"I'm Thordia." I stated simply, regarding the Orc with calculating eyes.
"Snagdu gro-Shula." He sat down next to me, careful of his distance. We sat there for a few moments. I do not know what was on his mind but I know I was busy thinking out the situation. He was the first to speak again....
Location: Opening dungeon, guards approach.
I explained my story too the Nord Maiden and she told me hers. I had to agree with the dark elf, the Nord Maiden was quite a beautiful girl indeed, especially compared to the Ladies of Orsinium. Not to knock my own race, but we arent an attractive people and we are OK with that. However, right though he was, I felt the dark elf was out of line so I told him to piss off. We exchanged stories, then the guards came and tried to make us stand against the wall by a window. I wasn't going to listen to those dogs so I stood right up next to the door and stared them down... the Nord woman stood beside me... that is untill we realised that they had the key. We then stood aside and let them come in. Then the Emperor spoke...
My girlfriend and I each have computers here. Oblivion is loaded on both. This sounds like a great idea, but it would entail prying her away from YoVille, FrontierVille, SocialCity, and all that other Facebook crap that she loves so much.... :facepalm: ...so...it ain't gonna happen....to each thier own I reckon. She thinks just as highly of Oblivion as I do about Facebook (cr)apps.
The Emperor...I was taken aback by this turn of events. What business could he have in prison, let alone, why would he be here in our cell? They made their way to the back of the cell towards a wall, but then, he stopped, the Emperor, and he turned towards me, and he began to speak, and I was left frozen, stunned, at what he had to say. The one from his dreams? I wasn't processing what was going on, fate and dreams and destinies it was too much and it wasn't making any sense. I blinked when the guard spoke, A lucky day? That is yet to be seen, but I looked over at the Orc who had turned to follow after the Emperor and his Blades. I mentally slapped myself and walked after them all, trying to work through was exactly was happening to me. We began to make our way through the corridors, luckily I was quick to find a rusted old blade as there were a number of giant rats to fight off...though 'fight' is used loosely as they were more pests than anything, one good swipe and done, but it still felt good to have a blade in hand after those officers took my own... I felt more like myself again. I looted some armor that had been left rusting, apparently by someone who was outsmarted by rats...they deserved it... just a little bit. The Orc seemed far less interested in the things to be found, and continued his way through the caverns purposefully. There were a number of goblins we ran across as well, berserk, angry clawing bastards...nothing I was too sorry to see fall...hopefully I've managed to avoid goblin rabies,or whatever it was that was their problem. The Orc and I caught up to the Emperor and the Blades just as they were in a scuffle with a couple red robed figures, I stood back behind a column to see what was going on...
