It isnt emboss, I tend to stay away from filters as well, they always do more bad than good for me. Its done by taking a normal picture, for instance Connarys great work on Tx_MA_Sulfur_rock05

Some people prefer the former, I like the look this gives me however. The differences in exposure, offset, and gamma lighting works to remove any..idk exactly how to describe it but Id say blur over the picture and it brings out the dark spots. The brightness and contrast work just to expand on that. This is what you were asking about, right?

Hecky no Im not. I did that as an example to show you what I was doing. Everything from the texture pack is my own work.

I've begun work on a brand new every item included retexture pack. This will cover everything from landscapes to buildings to flora to creatures. I wont be using a single texture I made from previous retextures, it will all be brand new. Ive learned alot since I started texturing so I think a clean slate is the best way to go. With roughly 2,000 textures to go it will be a time consuming project and I think a release should be slated for November-December time. I will not be retexturing the ice caves and I might not retexture the skies because the retextures inside my game from other modders is already top notch. Not every texture in the screenshot is redone so bear with it please. Enjoy :)

After sending my laptop in to the manufacturer to have the motherboard replaced under the warranty, they send it back to me with the hardware fixed, but software broke. They ignore my calls and emails and I finally get the chance to send it back into them with the understanding from a supervisor that it would be shipped there and back overnight. Over a week later and more ignored phone calls Ive finally gotten my laptop back. I will never ever ever ever again, and Id recommend this to anybody who ever reads this, never again buy an Asus laptop. The computer itself is great but customer service these days doesnt exist.


Good news though, I did finally get itback, which means going to work yet again :goodjob:

Just chiming in to say this is still being worked on. Nothing new to show as I havent taken too may screenshots. The previous December release date will probably be pushed back. Im now thinking mid February.


Just thought I would let you know that in general it is not a good idea to announce a release date for anything. ;)


Anyway.... Most of the textures look really nice and work well together. :tops:

Finally got out of the Imperial Prison Ship, even though it isnt one yet, and remade two meshes, one common tall house and one common skywalk. The house (census and excise office) is going to be jacked up on stilts a couple feet and the land moved down around it to give it a more swamp feel. The skywalk will now be open so it will be more like you are walking around outside. (the screenshots are still wip so ignore things that dont make sense yet)

I like your textures...the only thing that seams really disturbing to me is the bad UV-Mapping on the Vanilla Models, but this isn't a problem that could be fixed with a texture.

@Lestat Anything whose poor UV maps really jump out at you that I've shown so far? Lemme know.

@Tes96 I started this a while back and have since reorganized my photobucket account because it was a nightmare trying to find anything. Unfortunately there is no easy way to update all the links to there new address. That, plus the fact that they are outdated means there's no reason to redo the links.
