[RELz] Zealotlee's ACR

Post » Sat Feb 19, 2011 3:22 am

Well it was snowing this morning and the lights in my house were flickering. It usually stops snowing around July, and doesn’t start back up again until August; part of the charm of living in the Rockies. But, I’m fairly confident that sometime in the next 48 hours I can find 3 consecutively to finish this. So if you haven’t found an ACR by then you might just want to consider waiting until the next version comes out.

I have already added the LMG to the part-swapping scripts, I just need to add it to the camo swapping and the new Field Strip and Reassemble scripts. It should only take a few hours total to get it done. So as long as I don't lose power due to the snow storm I should have my part done by this weekend. I promise you all that the new version will be worth a few more days of waiting, this thing is awsome!

Would this release include the reduced frequency of the gun spawning? I had to disable the mod since it got annoying seeing it so much on raiders, and I want to get my ACR back

I discussed that issue with Zealotlee. I pretty sure that it is planned for the next release that some factions will have more ACRs than others. The exact frequencies and factions are known only to Zealotlee.

Heh, I used to live in Aurora, Colorado. So, I feel your pain.

At any rate. I found the ACR in Hamilton's Hideaway but when I equip the "Iron Sights" package it doesn't appear to work. When I get home I'll post my mod order list. Maybe someone can shed some light on what is going on.

Allstar I did reduce the frequency that raiders carry the ACR by a lot. It won't show up as much in earlier levels either. You're more likely to find it with outcasts or Talon guys now. I'm currently out of town but I'll be back tonight and I'll try to get this mod out by sometime in the middle of this week.

I've updated the file on FO3 Nexus to version 1.2! The FWE plug-in isn't done yet so the LMG and such won't have proper stats until T3T adjusts the new plugin.

Okay, somehow I royally screwed the silenced version of all the ACR's. I'm truly very sorry about that. I've sent ZL a fixed version of ACRForFWE.esp now. He might not get it til morning though. Oh god.

No worries, I fixed it up! Thanks for catching that before anyone else downloaded it.

Sweet!! Will be reDLing this tonight for the sweet LMGs.

Also, thanks for upping the damage on the 18" variants. I found them to be much to weak and was sticking mainly to the 10.5's cause I found them much stronger..though not quite as accurate.

I'm still having an issue with the "Ironsights" addition, can't seem to get it to work, any ideas?

Just to be clear, Ironsights just means an ACR without a AGOG or a Scope. Is that aspect not working?

Oh, then I guess it is working. When I read "Ironsights" I was thinking, sweet....I get to aim down the barrel ala COD. I suppose then I just mis-interpreted what it actually meant.

And now, I feel dumb.

there is a mod that lets you use the sights on the gun but if i remember right it only works on guns that have been modded to allow it.

There is the ironsight mod that lets you sight down the barrel, but you're right it has to be setup for each weapon. The good news is that it has been setup for the ACR! I believe there is a link on the ACR nexus page.

Yeah, as far as I know right now it currently doesn't support the LMG variants. I've also added the Form IDs to the kits on the description page so that those of you with an older version can just get the LMG kit without having to trudge back to Hamilton's Hideaway.

I have not DLed any of the "Ironsights" mods because I run FWE and as far as I know, none of them are compatible with FWE.

Maybe some day the guy that did the ACR one will do all of FWE's weapons. Maybe.

Hmmm, I am using the FWE version and found a pretty large bug. The "ACR + Scope +18in barrel + Silencer" has absolutely no effect on anything. No damage is done, and the NPC's don't even go into attack mode, it's just like nothing happens.

I have the most recent version, I just downloaded it 20 minutes ago

That's bizarre. I use that ACR config so I know the file I sent Zealotee was good...
