Ocarina of Time is overrated

True. Best game in history. Not best game of all time like most magazines/websites/tv shows claim.

I bet Skyrim wouldnt be tied with Zelda for GOTY if they had added a rod fishing system!

So that's where those extra .50 points went on my Game Informer review.

And I use my hands with the fish so I can save my teeth for the butterflies. :hehe:

Wow... you really don't get it. My opinion (to me) > your opinion (to me). There's nothing to argue about. You all lose.

See the logic?

You get dumber with every post. You don't matter to me so why would I care about your logic? Don't reply to this as you are an ant to me. And anything you say will just make you even more stupid to me.

So, the only reason you frequent this message board is to deposit your own thoughts and ideas like burning bags of your own [censored] on a doorstep? Here's an idea; invest in sticky notes.

A Link to the Past is the absolute best Zelda game ever made. A perfect balance of gameplay and level design. Every newer Zelda game has been trying to copy its formula ever since.

Who knows? Lol, there was a mod in Oblivion that sorta svcked, but worked (sometimes). I'm sure someone can make ti work better this go around, especially since there's already a fishing rod int he game.

What the game really needs if for the manly Nords to be able to do some Noodling (I think thats what its called) Like when those southern "gentleman" (lol) catch them catfish by getting them to chomp down on their hands....Only Nords would catch Slaughterfish...!

It wouldn't be hard, I think. Essentially it would work just like a pickaxe/ore vein scenario, except instead of only drawing one type of item from the source, you could get any kind of fish that was swimming in that particular body of water.

POINT: The programming is already there essentially, it just needs an animation.

Breath of Fire had an in-depth fishing mini-game in the early 1990s. Fishing mini-games are a lot more popular in Japan than in the West, though, no doubt because Japan is an island nation; like most island nations, aquatic life and fishing are significant in their culture and cuisine.

But the true reason is that Skyrim is a manly game with beards, fistfights, snowy peaks, mammoths and mead. Real mountain men catch fish with their bare hands. They don't use dishonorable fishing poles like all those milk-drinkers from less manly provinces. (Actually, I've seen a few fishing rods lying around, but I'm sure those don't belong to any Nords.)

First game I ever played that you could fish on....good game back in the day.....However fishing in games is abused way to often nowadays....You ever try to build up your fishing skill in WOW....waste of time.

Who said anything about no fishing poles? There are fishing poles in the game, you just can't use them.

We have silverside perch, we have river betty, we have salmon, and yet we have to resort to bear like fishing methods?

I bet Skyrim wouldnt be tied with Zelda for GOTY if they had added a rod fishing system!

Twighlight princess?? what about Zelda: OoT fishing in 1998

Anyways the lack of fishing is absurd granted they added salmon just hoppin in the river to catch them just doesn't do it justice not to mention they kept underwater exactly the same

Yeah, but the bandits have buckets set up in the little boys room.

OT, the rods confused me, especially the intricate reel, must be a dwemer invention.

I'm sure a fishing mini game can be modded in, but I'd rather not stand their waiting for some random dice throw, it should be a challenge reeling them in.
