A studio in charge of a new engine I hope, one can dream.
I hope not. I adore the Netimmerse / Gamebryo / Creation engine and I hope they continue to use it (and to improve it) for many years to come. I think it is perfectly suited to the kind of non-linear, open-world games Bethesda makes. And when it comes to modding it is the most flexible engine I have ever worked with.
Elder Scrolls Legend is a card playing video game like Hearthstone from Blizzard Entertainment.
Bethesda.net is a news announcement and other stuffs website for Bethesda Softworks who announces details and new information about the 7 video game development companies that ZeniMax Media Inc. and Bethesda Softworks own and publish video games for like Bethesda Game Studios.
Bethesda Game Studios Montreal is focused on developing RPG video games from the announcement if you read. Todd Howard wanted this. Possibly to split the team to be a little bit bigger to develop their video games faster.
So it has nothing to do with Elder Scrolls Legends. Maybe co developing Elder Scrolls Legends like Bethesda Game Studios Maryland is developing Fallout Shelter, sure.
Or it can mean that after Fallout 4 is completed with having all of it's patches released and DLC's and expansion packs sold, Todd Howard will move on to develop a brand new Intellectual Property (IP) of a video game.
Seeing since he said in a interview himself he wants to try something new anyways I think this is what will finally happen and I will be very happy if it does happen. I want to see a Bethesda Game Studios type developed sci-fi open world RPG video game or like some other people said a open world RPG pirates video game.
Naval combat fighting other ships on the ocean, while storms with huge tidal waves come crashing against the ships and cannons firing all over the place from two ships shooting at each other and pirates swinging from the ropes of the sails boarding their enemies ships, with lots of islands where you can go hide your treasure, loot your treasure or use the treasure you have looted to buy items with that treasure.
Oh yeah I just remembered that Redguard trademark from what was it 2013? Which has nothing to do with An Elder Scrolls Legend: Redguard.
So can it really be The Elder Scrolls VI: Redguard being in development or almost completed development from Bethesda Game Studios Maryland giving it to Bethesda Game Studios Montreal with a release for sale date in 2017?
It's most likely in development for sure.
I want to be excited for this but realistically this is likely for some MMO.
Well, I heard from my wife's 3rd cousin, whose uncle knows somebody that shared a drink with the night shift custodian of Bethesda's cafeteria that Bethesda bought the rights to Leisure Larry, and is making a "G" rated modern version of it with talking flowers. Supposedly, the story board advisor is Jack Thompson.
Please, PLEASE tell me you are not joking? You really have a 3rd cousin from your wife, whose uncle is friends with the night shift custodian?
You should get us more leaks if you are telling the truth Haha.
Awesome, Fallout 4 points to this with all the Leisure Suits.
How do you know? Are you friends with fantasyjunkie? Or did fantasyjunkie say who it was somewhere?
I am not surprised in honesty.. Montreal has a huge number of development studios, making it far easier to hire more people into a company without having to get them to relocate..
Ballowers, please tell me you were aware fantasyjunkie was being sarcastic, and this post of yours I am quoting is just further sarcasm.
I wonder though... could they be working on that possible new sci-fi IP people were talking bout several months back..
Doesn't Montreal have some kind of art funding?
I remember reading months ago the Canadian government funds art and gives money for art and that that is why so many video game developers move to Montreal to develop video games, since video games are considered art.
No I did not know fantasyjunkie was being sarcastic, no I was not being sarcastic either, as of about 2010 I have a very difficult time knowing when people are joking or not joking on the internet. I have been purchasing and playing video games for almost 30 years. When I was a kid the internet did not exist, computers did not exist as Personal Computers (PC's) for everyone at all only for governments. in the 1960's we used to say nineteen hundred sixty instead of nineteen sixty, that should let you know I'm quite old and have trouble with a lot of stuff this decade the new generation says. It does not make me stupid though to not know how to use a computer or the internet or to play video games or to develop video games.
Ask him if he will apply for a job at Bethesda Game Studios Montreal? Is he going to try?
Someone made a reference to the Leisure Suit Larry games. And then someone made a reference to Roger Wilco, a rather famous character from the Space Quest games.
Both series were made by the same company, Sierra.
It was just a joke, for anyone familiar with DOS/Apple games from the mid 1980s.
Oh I see. I should play the Leisure Suit Larry video games some more I have purchased them all that are sold on gog.com and sold on Steam. I played one named Leisure Suit Larry: Magna (Insert word I am probably not allowed to say on the forums) Laude for only about 1 hour back in 2007. I also have purchased all of the Space Quest video games that are sold on gog.com, but I never played any of them ever in my life yet still to this day today.
Now just to wait 2 to 4 years until we hear what they are working on.
He notoriously says a lot of things and means something completely different.
