I actually tried a healing Nightblade last weekend.

It worked very well.

Of course I can't say how it'll perform at the "end game" but so far it did work.

At the moment it seems you are stuck with the resto staff if you want to heal as a Nightblade. HOWEVER, we do not know anything about the skills that will be available to us in the future.

Maybe they'll add a Temple faction or something and you'll get healing skills from there too?

It is known for a while that you get healing abilities from restoration staff and templar, but from other skill lines you will unlock in the game too.... You do not have to be a templar to heal nor do you have to have a restoration staff

This is typical miscommunication and people hearing and seeing only what they think applies to them needing to be offended or having cause to justify an insult or retaliation over what was said about the game.
