His review of Oblivion was pretty funny in my opinion.

He seems to have a particular hatred for "realistic" shooters and JRPGs. I myself am not fond of JRPG's, but his reviews of recent realistic shooters seem to be too heavily reliant on insulting America and criticizing the single-player, with little emphasis on the main point of such games, the multiplayer aspect.

Edit: Okay I enjoy Pokemon and Golden Sun but other than those, I don't particularly like JRPGs.

I like JRPGs, I grew up with them. But I still find his opinion hilarious and a lot of the things he says has a grain of truth in it.

It's not like he's insulting me personally.

Man, it's been a long time. I used to watch his reviews, laughing all the way, tears dripping down my face. But I never saw any of his reviews again for some odd reason, now after watching the F:NV review, I'm enjoying them again... My favorite was probably Spiderman: Shattered Dimensions.

Speaking of which, does anyone know any Adrians who watched that review? Were any of them freaked out?

"Dragon Age calls itself a "dark fantasy". It's rather cute really, like a DnD nerd getting his ear pierced because he fancies the goth girl who works at Starbucks"

I rather liked his Demon's Souls review...

It was fairly accurate of the way most people reacted to that game. Too bad he didn't continue and see how great it was.

He is sick at what he does. I always laugh my ass off when I watch his videos.

Have not watched any in a while though. :glare:

Yahtzee is great for entertainment. Watching his reviews every Thursday helps cheer me up before a hard day at Uni :D

That being said, of course, I dont watch the reviews for a serious opinion on games. Some of the points he makes are true (particularly in his DA2 review), but if anyone expects serious consumer advice from him they're very much in the wrong place.

He's also one of the owners of the "Mana Bar", a gaming themed bar in Australia that I plan to visit when I'm next in Brisbane.

If you want his brand of overpriced cocktails, come to the Melbourne one - that way when you decided to leave for some real cocktails we can head over to 1806 or Seamstress.

I fine the man very funny and entertaining. I had a little mini conversation with other people on this forum about the guy, and many found him to be a bit, what's the word . . . douchey. I find his reviews rather fun though, and even with the ridiculousness that is his reviews, many of his points are pretty valid and can definitely be spotted if trying to be totally critical of a game. I trust his reviews much more than most. Even if they are quite out there. Took me awhile to get used to the speed at which he talks though. It is quite funny watching other people watch his reviews for the first time. They look as if they are being attacked by words.

I like Yahtzee. He's a good comic and I like that he criticizes most games fairly harshly. It's a nice change of pace from the majority of reviews that shower praise on every AAA title out there and fill their coffers with their filthy filthy ad money. I know, he gets ad money too, but it's less filthy. :P

I wish more reviewers were basically [censored]s who tore every game a new one, focusing on the negatives. It's comedic and gets across good points. I don't always agree, but at least I can laugh, right?

Yahtzee has also made some indie adventure games that are quite good.

Yes, we're allowed words that have two meanings. In this case, for our many discussions about 19th century illegitimacy law.

I see, so if that logic is to be applied to traditional English Language then I can say [censored]? :swear:

Edit: But female dog has dual meanings ^^

Aye, he's pretty good. Not as funny as he used to be, but I still follow him somewhat. I loved his review of the crapstorm that was Final Fantasy XIII.

I tend to get a little butt hurt when he pokes fun at my favourite games :( BUT, I do love his 'reviews'. I couldn't possibly choose a favourite, but his one on Minecraft made me chuckle a lot.

I'm not particularly impressed with his reviews

Most of the time I don't find them entertaining nor helpful in deciding what game to buy.

Overall, IMO, he's an [censored]

Well I never listen to any review on what game I want to buy really.
But what I like about him is that he dares to point out the bad things about games while other reviewers are too kind in their reviews.
So while I don't consort him first I do value his reviews.

And he's funny. Real funny. /IMO. ;)
His funniest review?
No idea.
They're all too funny. :teehee:
[edit]
Wait, I got one; I love his nintendo-related reviews since he rags on them so much.
I absolutely loathe Nintendo's franchises and the Wii.
So it's fun to hear someone rage about it. :P

I love Zero Punctuation, as well as Yahtzee's Extra Punctuation column. Did anyone see the IAMA he did on Reddit a few days ago? It was funny and interesting :D I sometimes disagree with what he says about games (Mirror's Edge for example) but generally he's pretty much spot on. As Povuholo said, Extra Credits is great as well.

He said a lot of times already that he doesn't make reviews.. its called Critics!
He also explained why he usually does negative critics, reason being that most other people all like to talk about the good things about each game.
Although some of his critics sometimes don't make sense they always make me laugh and i don't get annoyed because he talks about mad stuff of games i like since i know theres hardly perfect games out there (Portal) so i know that even if i like does games they all have obvious flaws. His also really good the for the gaming industry since a lot of developers care about his opinion and try harder to make their games better and wait to see what kind of feedback he gives.
