Looks like I'll have to go back to a being a Libra - always on the cutting edge of pretentious bull [censored] and not capable of making a decision on my own (we were also responsible for cappuccinos, apparently, and are the only people to know the difference between a cafe latte and a cafe au lait).

We Westerners subscribe to the Tropical Zodiac which goes by seasons. But I still think people will be going nuts over this for while yet. Ah well.

I went from Aquarius to Capricorn... this is [censored]!

I've never really taken any horoscopes seriously, but it's funny how weird it feels not being an Aquarius, even though it really makes no difference.

I've decided not to listen to this and be an Aquarius anyway. You can't take my Aquarius away from me... Damn, I've been misled all my life.

Its hilarious. As part of the astrology community, we find it funny when this happens...and it happens every so often. What you're seeing in the news is Vedic, or Eastern astrology, and has been around for thousands of years. It is nothing new. It is the astrology calculation system used in the East. Its like farenheit and celcius, both are accurate, but they utilize a different measuring system. Its not as though they are both calculated using the same formula, and the Western way just got it all wrong - uh, no. They're both based on something completely different.

Since I am a Westerner, I use Western astrology. Simple enough.

No, we didn't. Zodiac signs are based on which constellation the line Earth-Sun points at the moment of your birth. If it isn't clear to you that due to Sun's motion through the galaxy that had to be affected and changed during the last three thousand years, then you've got some serious reading to do.
