Zombie-Survival Rp/ 50's B-Movies

I like all of it, except the idea of us as the prisoners. I'd rather be just a plain citizen thrown into it all.

You dont have to be a prisoner you can be a plain or citizen or a drunkard priate or legion patrol man, the prison is located in Black Rose, there is a town just to the south and one to the north so its not impossible for anybody wanting to join as bog standard civilians to start in one of the towns and work their way north where they will encounted the prisoners who will be traveling south perhaps. Or if anybody would like to start off in two seperate groups that may end up crossing paths throughout the story then thats also fine.

Sounds fine. We could start off in Blackmarsh and work our way north, towards Vvardenfell. As its an island, it may not have the infected on it. Just ideas, I know I'm pushing the Morrowind idea, but it be cool. Where else is there to go? Or we could head towards the Imperial City, as that too is an island. Or, take a large boat and head Summerset Isles way?

I'll have to go with the latter.

I must now decide if I want to play a sane character this time....

Hmmmmm.... Nah! I like crazy :3

Not exactly thinking that far ahead just yet, it wold probably take a few threads to get through the swamps, even longer if we are forced to go around the interior... or maybe longer if we do go through it.

EDIT: Its going to be a real tough time for our characters if this does go up. I WILL be killing people off or putting them in situations where the chances of survival are slim. Not only are they hunted by zombies but they are also going to be isolated from the outside world and nature its self will work against them. Think along the lines of that evil island in king kong, minus the giant monkey and dinosoars.

Aye, that be good. Though, this may not be the final story, but I quite like it. On weapons, maybe we could find some? At some point, we bust into a abandoned Legion fort, and find a few weapons? But, that's just me. Fighting with sticks and twigs is fine, but as the story progresses, we can get some real steel.

(Yes, that was meant to rhyme)

This is exciting! So, we're going with Argonia? Good. And this looks really fun Solidor. I change my vote to Black Marsh.

Be warned that if we ever have the luck of using weapons that are refined and well crafted that your chances of survival will actually drop :P

Well, then, it wouldn't be a fun Rp if everyone is dead, now is it? Anyway, count me as giddy. Also, I hope it's no just Argonian zombies, which mostly it won't be, right? Yes. Maybe the zombies retain some racial benefits. Orc zombies can go berserk? Khajiit zombies can hop around a lot? Just to even make it more dangerous.

I wouldnt say we're restricted to Black Marsh, theres loads of provinces to explore but just not right away... Maybe every couple of threads depending how long it lasts.

I'd love to see Valenwood, Bosmers eat their enemies after killing them, imagine if they ate zombies without realising they had just killed zombies.. Ewwwwww

EDIT: @shadow no it wouldnt be very fun, but it also wouldnt be very fun if there wasnt any real danger. Trained soldiers/bandits/whatever with weapons vs zombies isnt my idea of dangers really. But each to their own, and no, while the vast majority of zombies will be argonian some will be human/dunmer and what not, even some armour legionnaire zombies maybe. Who knows.

EDIT2: And because of the way the zombies are created they will have increased mobility as opposed to their half rotten counterparts dug up from the ground that Necromancers tend to favour.

That's what I said!! Valenwood would be awesome. But we'll save that for later. So, are we ready for a sign-up thread?

Lets see if anybody else generates a little more interest in it and i'll post up the OP and people can start sending in Character sheets for me, but i think that this thread will suffice as a sign up thread for now.

Why don't we do this:

We start in Black Marsh, the undead are hard on our heels as we try desperately to head north. We finally get passage to Vvardenfell from Mournhold which is also showing serious signs of the plague. But the plague somehow got to Vvardenfell too, so we race to the Northern edge of Vvardenfell, outrunning the growing hordes as well as bandits and whatnot, where we get to Khuul only to find that the ship has departed already.

We must wait 2 days for it too return, and once it does, we make passage to Fort Frostmoth and pray to the Nines that we'll be safe their.

Sounds pretty cool in my opinion.

Uh what should our character sheets look like?

Taken from the sample op:

Character Sheets:

Name: (Nicknames and pronunciations as well if possible)
Age: (don't have to be specific, a ball park figure like 20-25 or 40-45 will suffice)
Race: (Try to be lore correct, Khajiit and Argonians are known to have sub races to let us know which, if you're a vampire let us know what clan you originate from.)
Gender: (obvious)

General Appearance (include height, weight, build, hair colour eye colour hair style facial hair, everything you can into this bit.)
Clothing/Armour: (Be aware that prisoners don't wear prada.)

General skills and talents: (Describe what your guy does best and why he is trained in that art. Tell us if he also likes to paint or sing, it all counts really. Don't just say "Heavy armour, Restoration, Destruction.", try to break out of the habits of game mechanics if you can.)

Personality and temperament: (Wets himself under pressure? She giggles furiously when shes scared? Goes quiet around strangers? It all goes here.)

Brief History: Doesn't have to be pages long just give us a general idea of your character and what he/she is about. Secondary characters (who are destined to die or just arent that important) Can be left blank and developed along the way.

Misc: Couldn't fit something any where else? Put it here

Its still good to plan ahead, but I agree, lets concentrate on the now.

It is good to plan ahead, but not with this kind of story where literally anything one person does could effect the way we go. Your character might take a wiz in a bush and we end up on Skyrim, Another character might betray us and we end up in Hammerfell. Its all subject to change, thats what i love about these RPs, they constantly evolve and make their own rich history.

Maybe we can travel the world. I mean, this epidemic would be world-wide, yes? We could just travel country to country, either looking for cure, rummaging for supplies or whatever it is Zombie-Apocalypse Survivors do.

Also, I'll probably turn in my CS later tonight, or tomorrow. I'm going with an Argonian Prisoner who isn't all there if you get my meaning ;)

Only The southern half of Black Marsh is affected for the moment, bit it will spread and fast, faster than we could possibly travel at any rate. So yes if we ever get to the point where we're passing through to a new province the plague will already be present there. Maybe we could end up in a mall of some sort? Heh :P

And if everybody interested in joining would like to PM me their sheets, I'll post them up with the Op tommorow or tonight.

I look forward to getting some sheets to deny :chaos:

Two beers and a bag of crisps later and the sheet is finished and posted to you Solidor.

Bugger, and I have just noticed that I didnt include if I was a civilian or prisoner in my misc post. He's a civilian, but would start in the prison...if that makes sense. Blergh, the details are all in the sheet.

Remember people you DONT have to be a prisoner to be in the prison area, you can be a merchant delivering food supplies or a janitor or a guard or even a bounty hunter delivering a target if you really want to. Or the prison healer, every prison has a doctor on staff after all.
