1. Good, but not best.
2. Good on short range but best all-rounder is something else.
3. Nope, axe is in middle.

Nice try anyway.

Where could be better then Walmart? endless supply of food, flat roof(I've yet to see a Walmart that didn't have a nice flat roof),bullets..and every thing else you can think of.

Hell most even have gas in the parking lot,I fail to see how you could possibly have a better place.

No long-range weapon is practical, assault rifle ammo wouldn't be abundant and you would end up running out of ammo in a few weeks if you had an AK or similar, hunting rifles wouldn't work very well close-range and pistols wouldn't work out at long range.

Yes a 12 gauge lacks range, but with slugs you can get out pretty far when needed..and the ammo is very common.

Guess a .22 rifle would be a good backup if you can aim for the head.

Not much is better then a nice axe,it has multiple uses..it can be used as a blunt to break things,or a blade-definitely the most practical option, and again they're every where.

I chose the things that would be around in a normal situation-not crazy things you wouldn't realistically have or be able to use(as said earlier, you wouldn't have the ammo to support any AR style weapon, ect).

1. Walmart has big windows and a lot of entry point, it's right that it has a lot of food but food is useless if you're dead! Zombies can get inside pretty easy. Best place is definitly an isolated place. And an isolated place is where zombies can't reach! So it's goonna be you're Home IF YOU DESTROY THE STAIRS!!! Any other place that can be reached via ladder is good too.(Elavated Places)

2. Shotgun is heavy and takes a lot of time to reload. All it takes is a headshot so SMGs are best when set on single-fire mod. Because of ammo and weight. (Sub-Machine gun or Pistol)

3. Best melee weapon is definitly Crowbar because it can pierce through skull and open lock. (Crowbar)

Any question?

Why I said the roof,sir.

You can fight your way to the food if needed, and carry it up with you-at home you would starve after a couple weeks.

Extension cords to get power on the roof even,if you could gather a couple people you could easily survive on a Walmart roof for a few years(power would obviously be off pretty quickly, but still).

An SMG isn't practical,I'm assuming legal things..and things you could easily find,a 12 gauge is that.

Axe is superior to a Crowbar because an Axe,as mentioned before, can bash things..it's heavier making it easier to get through things.

I dunno man,I don't think you're being realistic with the gun choice.

Yes, the best place during a zombie outbreak would be a priosn especially with the high concrete walls, and the High walls make for great use of a bolt-action sniper rifle. And the best melee weapon? A katana in the hands of a skilled warrior.

Most likely die while attempting to destroy the stair in any commercial building if it was even possible.

It's NOT my answer it's Zombie Survival Guide's.

Well Zombie Survival Guide was written by people who don't understand the average person, even given freedom to go any where and do any thing couldn't find an SMG-we're also going to have to assume you're talking about an SMG that fires 9mm bullets(because of your ammo statement),which narrows it down even more.

Also um..where would you get an axe?

They're very, very common-the majority of people will have them in their shed, and Walmart would be more likely to carry an axe then a Machete.

Sledgehammer or Dynamit perhaps?

Another unrealistic thing,Dynamite would be very hard to find.

My statement about Walmart still stands..they have a roof, that can only be accessed by a ladder.

How much better can you get?

Also, since it's a light ladder you can easily get some heavy metal cutters from inside the store and cut the ladder off and use a ladder from inside the store to get down, making it nearly impossible to get to you.

Well in some earthquakeless parts of the globe walls get dents on them just if you fart in their general direction so I presume for those it shouldn't actually be much of a problem.

Depends on the wall. Brick/Concrete? or Drywall with studs?

Sledgehammer or Dynamit perhaps?

Costco. No windows. Steel doors and also a roof that can only be accessed by ladder. Costco would probably have more water and food reserves left inside the building.

Granted, Walmart sells weapons while Costco doesn't. I'd go to Walmart to get more weapons (since I already own quite a few) then head to Costco.

An axe is just as easy to carry as a Machete, don't get your point there.

Yes a crowbar would be more practical for carrying while also carrying a gun,but I'm assuming being set up on the roof of a Walmart, using the melee weapon as a tool and as a weapon when you're out of/low on ammo as a way to get to the ammo downstairs.

EDIT:I also own a few weapons,Downfall-I'm assuming a really long time here, too long to have enough ammo with you..I picked Walmart just because of the balance of resources around.

Travel would be dangerous, moving around multiple places when you need supplies wouldn't be practical after a while.

I'm going to Alaska.

You'll never make it Peace. The major freeways will be choked with stalled cars with people trying to flee the major population centers. It's going to be nothing but a tasty flesh-bottleneck.
