the zombies would be really bad quality if they were able to fit it in there unless they were to delay it again but that would be a bad idea

I agree with you but what if a few months after brink comes out they make a free update for everyone. Just imagine that.

Might as well package it with the main game then.

I don't think a game as good as BRINK needs to include something so base as a zombie mode, because then the game would be stooping down to a fan base that doesn't know what the word "strategy" actually means. This is a strategy FPS, not a run-and-gun Hollywood-ish shooter.

you can create a zombie mode that still incorporates the strategy, class system, body types, smart movement and team work. your just not thinking hard enough.

infact if brink can be modded who wants to make one? IDtech can't be much tougher to use than UDK

essentially i'm imagining:
zombie version of all three body types, lights move as they do now and act as cannon fodder, mediums move the same but have increased health to heavy levels. heavies have double health and mediums agility.

zombie/infected have guns. but only pistols and knives. accuracy is terrible

players have standard classes and body types, restricted to pistols and shotguns. melee if possible as well.

start of round is 16 players vs 15 zombies IF the engine can handle that load. otherwise numbers will be tweaked

if a player dies they respawn as zombie with the same bodytype they died as.

players must co-operate in the same ways they would brink. disable doors, blow barriers etc as they escape or assualt the horde.

last man standing is the winner, most dangerous mutant is declared as such.

progress through the level is counted as having "cleared an area" the turrets will arm and the player spawn advances.

as you can see it's all possible within the established framework. and if we can mod i'll be first in line to make it...or at least make the characters for it.

Jockey, Hunter & Tank?

Sounds like a CSS or MW2 zombie mod.

People should support games like Dead Island rather than Zombie modes in every other game.

it sounds cool but wouldnt it just be copying off COD with their zombie modes because if other game companies started putting zombie mode in then it would die. so i probably just leave to COD and other zombie games

ugh, i have no clue why people always want to take a shooter and add zombies, can't handle enemies who use guns or something?

Because shooting zombies in games is fun. Seriously...

COD didn't invent zombies.

Possibly a fan-mod using Fast Zombies could be possible and actually fun, but as more of a total-conversion then just a game mode.

meh i'm supporting enough games this year, brink bulletstorm, skyrim and duke nukem are all certainty. plus rage, deus ex and gears in the maybes, with a bigger maybe for mass effect. only guessing on some of those releasing this year but the point remians at aussie prices thats 450 def, 300 in maybe and another 100 possibly. add a possible 850 for upgrades to the pc.

i'm supporting enough, and i'd much rather make a mod, i need portfolio work.

even if there were no zombies
some sort of players vs hordes of enemies (maybe wave based) would totally fit, and would definitely increase replay value atleast for me

This isn't that type of game. I am sure Bulletstorm and Gears of War 3 should more than sufficient for any kind of horde mode.
