Zooming in Crysis 2

Post » Fri Dec 31, 2010 5:47 am

Hello,
As I was on the gamescom last year and played Crysis 2 on PC, I metioned the fact that you have to hold the right mouse button to zoom. I think the one-press-solution from Crysis 1 is much better and it shouldn′t take too much time for Crytek to achieve this in Crysis 2 too.
Who else shares this opinion? Maybe Crytek reads this.

Thank you

You have much less health in Crysis 2 so I don't mind much about holding down to aim. The Nanosuit 2 is inferior and you must toggle your suit to actually deflect bullets.

Besides, nobody used the ADS in Crysis Wars anyway. ^-^

I think Talon you misunderstood him.

I'm the same opinion, to hold the right mouse button to zoom is actually UGLY!

No I understood quite clearly. He is asking for the ADS to be changed to toggle.

How the bloody hell is that going to work? I mean, it'll be damn near impossible to use lean to assess the situation if you have a scoped weapon with a limited FoV.

Yeah, its difficult to aim with a mousse button hold down and if you also have to fire your accuracy is a **** and your fingers get tired.
It's better to aim freely and quietly for more precission. I really hope they change it to (RMB toggle zoom) and also for lean (RMB toggle lean).

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this a very common option to change? I would seriously expect a toggle on/off option.

I share the opinion of most of my forerunners.
If i would play crysis 2 for a long time and always have to hold the right mouse button to zoom, i will get a cramp or something like that, for sure :D .
And of course the accuracy isn't that good with a mouse button hold down.
So I hope Crytec will change this soon.
Killerfee.... I was at the Gamescom, too. The Crysis 2 booth was great, wasn't it :D ??
See you (in the game, or somewhere else ;) )

I like holding for zooming when using iron sights, reflex sights and even assault scopes. I like the toggle option when sniping using a sniper scope.

You do know its possible to have Toggle and Hold ADS, GRAW2 and Killing Floor do it.

I personally prefer Hold.

Just because those games had it doesn't mean C2 will.

Most professional players i know use a zoom on pressed. Its way more native then a toggel zoom. Though i am talking about a way more fast paced game.
